Recently, a gentleman by the name of Walter Terry started blogging on ResultsManager at his blog, Taming Chaos. It's his '3rd time to the altar' with ResultsManager, so I'm hoping this one's for real ;). In a recent post, he raised an excellent point about something that occasionally confuses RM (ResultsManager) users: Instead of the traditional clockwise approach to maps, I'd tell you (as would my colleagues at Gyronix) that it's better to put your project information on the left-hand side of your map, that way time reads from left to right in your plans.
To illustrate this phenomenon, I've included an image of one of my most important project maps.
Map Explanation: Growing up, I always had a complex since I had musical ideas on the brain but no way to express them. Using ResultsManager, I'm implementing an entirely computer-based solution for creating music. I use Reason Adapted and Bome Mouse Keyboard to create the soundscapes that previously stayed jumbled up within my mind - David Allen would be proud ;). Reason is a sequencing studio, and Bome Mouse Keyboard is a program that lets you use a QWERTY keyboard to play musical notes - everything you need to become the next Moby (I guess talent helps too). BMK is the brainchild of the colorful Florian Bomers, who is happy to send you a license of Bome Mouse Keyboard as long as you are willing to send him a physical post card. My contribution to his collection was a postcard with a putting green on it (yes, actual fake turf). Anyone else you know sending the gift of Ohio golf to Germany?
