While I wait on Fedex to come and pickup the laptop mentioned in the last post about Rome burning (second time in for servicing to HP), I thought I'd post what I just developed, my Top 10 Mapping Shortcuts. One of my best clients has been on me to create it and he was right. Hope it helps. If you think it's incomplete at all, just let me know and post a follow-up.
Top 10 Mapping Shortcut Tips (MindManager & ResultsManager):
- Control+D: Expands a topic out further each time you hit 'D' while holding down 'Control'.
- Shift+F5: Refreshes all topics in a map.
- Alt+Shift+(Number): Shows the subtopic level based on the number you select (If you press Alt+Shift+1 on a topic you'll see one level of subtopics).
- Control+F5: Fits map to screen size.
- Alt F+L: Save all open maps.
- Alt F+D: Create ResultsManager Dashboard
- Alt C+M: Bring up icon markers.
- Alt E+Y: Edit a ResultsManager Activity.
- Alt I+Y: Insert a ResultsManager Activity.
- Alt C+V: Mark a ResultsManager Activity complete.
Thanks for the great list! Hope everything works out with your machines.
P.S. I finally made the jump to a PDA phone capable of displaying my dashboards and have to tell you the whole process, including the use of ResultsManager, has improved ten fold since incorporating it into my daily routine!

My favorites:
Ctrl shift enter - insert call out
Ctrl shift insert - insert parent topic
Ctrl + drag a topic - duplicates topic
shift + drag a topic - prevents snapping to the map
alt + drag - position a main topic anywhere while still keeping it connected to the map.
Alt I, R - insert relationship

does anybody know a shortcut for ResultsManager Contexts, SomedayMaybe, Commited, etc? It's a little slow havig to go through the Activity window...
Thanks a lot

Marc,
I don't know any shortcuts to the ResultsManager contexts. Does anyone else? Something in my gut says someone in the ActivityOwner ecosystem may have done something to this effect.
What you will notice, in the 'ResultsManager' ribbon bar in MindManager, is when you hover over any of the actions, it's shortcut key is listed. For instance, if you hover over 'Someday', it will bring up a bubble with the shortcut: Alt+E, AS. Once you've added Someday/Maybe to an activity, using the shortcut key again would make it committed. Use it again and it would go back to S/M.
Also, many users customize their quick access toolbar in MindManager to have their most frequently used ResultsManager commands (and anything else from MindManager they like). To do so, click on the downward arrow to the right of your quick access icons and then select 'More Commands'. It's pretty intuitive from there.
Marc, I hope this helps.
