I've gotten everything related to mind mapping out of my head, have gone a bit bonkers and decided to release it all... FOR FREE.
Why?
A) I hope it makes you want to work with Visual Strategist and use Mindjet MindManager and Gyronix ResultsManager.
B) I know a business-building expert and guru named Rich Schefren who gives away loads of spectacular free content and does blockbuster business as a result.
C) I feel a moral obligation. As a Visual Strategist and Gyronix Certified Trainer, I've worked with hundreds, if not thousands of people on structuring their mind maps and managing projects. If I knew all of the common goals, shared feelings and desired experiences sought, and could give you THE solution at no cost, wouldn't it be a crime not to deliver it to you?
D) I'm in a festive mood with the release of MindManager 7.
What you're going to get with the Visual Strategist Solution template package:
- A mind map framework from which you can rule the Personal and Professional Realms of your life.
- A Files & Folders framework to store your mind maps, documents and files that is tracked in the mind maps using the File Explorer Map Part.
- A set of scenario templates on such topics as Negotiation, Strategic Management, Strategic Relationships and more.
- A map marker (icon) set to help you portray almost any business, personal or social scenario you may encounter.
- ResultsManager users get a Life Balance set of Gyronix Projects baked right into the map set. Therefore, you can run Gyronix Dashboards right out of the gate.
All I ask is your feeback, word-of-mouth and consideration.
- Feedback given that the solution I'm releasing is by no means perfect.
- Word-of-mouth that if you like what you see, you'll blog about it, link to it, or even tell someone in person the old-fashioned way ;).
- Consideration that if you need mind mapping expertise, you'll ponder working with Visual Strategist.
It's worth noting that you can have my solution for free even if you don't have MindManager by downloading the free MindManager Viewer. This release is for EVERYONE.
Now, without further ado, take charge and download the Visual Strategist Solution template package here!
Personally I'm glad that the general public finally gets to see what you're capable of. Prior to this, one had to be a Gyronix training client to get just a taste of using maps as a visual strategy guide. Even then, it was only in a business context. And now you're tackling the entire life of a user?
For free?! Are you insane?
Congratulations and I look forward to how you'll define the visual strategist field!

Kyle,
The download link isn't working. Ideas?
Posted by: Trevor Claiborne | June 04, 2007 at 01:45 PM
Hi Trevor,
Great to see you're taking a look at the solution. I just tried it from my end and had a friend download it and it did work for both of us.
The instructions on the download page can be a bit confusing - it looks like it's going to pop up automatically, but you actually have to click on the 'Click Here to Start Download Button'.
Let me know if that doesn't solve it Trevor: I'll get the solution to you even if it means burning it and shipping it :).

Working now...
Oops spoke too soon. File was corrupt. Going to try redownloading.
Ok, looks like it's really working now.
Thanks!

Kyle,
I have been tinkering with your template for a couple days now and have begun to run pretty much everything through VSS. Thanks so much for sharing with us free of cost. It means a lot for students like myself on a tight budget.
Thanks,
Omar

I get an error when downloading - file not found.
Posted by: Lyman | July 06, 2007 at 01:19 AM
Hi Lyman,
Sorry about the difficulty when you attempted to download the solution. I've switched the file hosting service for the time being, and the link should work now.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Why only a Windows version of your maps?
Posted by: Steven | July 18, 2007 at 06:57 PM
Steven,
Great question: The File Explorer part I make extensive use of in the templates tends to crash out MindManager for Mac. That's why I had to put up the Windows description.

Sounds interesting but have problems downloading.
("Invalid Quickkey. This error has been forwarded to MediaFire's development team.")
Have you got a new link for it?
Rgds, Lasse

Hi Lombardo,
Just checked it a second ago, and appears to be working, so hopefully it was a momentary glitch in Mediafire. Try it again, and definitely let me know if it doesn't work for you.
Just follow from the hyperlink at the bottom of this post.
